TN Marketing (TN) began creating digital membership communities in 2012.  Their first community, Woodworkers Guild of America, launched with how-to tips and techniques video content along with a complementary email newsletter and social media support.  The Hedlund Group (THG) was engaged to help create and sell advertising solutions and sponsorship packages, creating a new revenue stream for TN.

Eight years later, TN now operates 14 enthusiast communities that each deliver multiple marketing options developed and sold by THG.  They include several branded content video formats; display banner and pre-roll advertising; dedicated and display email; social media video, text/graphics and livestreaming; virtual events and high engagement specialty promotions.

THG has grown the annual revenue associated with these marketing solutions to $1.5 million to date.

 
 
 

Craftsy was launched in 2011 with tech-heavy leadership and nearly $100 million in venture capital funding. It built a large audience by providing best-of-class instructional video content for a wide range of passion/craft categories - quilting, sewing, drawing, painting, cake decorating, cooking, photography, woodworking and more. Craftsy was sold to TN Marketing in 2020 and operates as a marquee membership brand within TN's portfolio of communities.

THG is responsible for developing advertiser and sponsor brand integration partnerships with Craftsy, delivering video content through email, website, and social media distribution channels.

 
 
 

Next Avenue is a website community that was launched in 2012 by Twin Cities PBS and serves the America’s rapidly growing audience of adults 50+.  Next Avenue’s high quality journalism focuses on meeting the needs and unleashing the potential of Americans who are living longer, more robust lives than ever before.  

THG sells content sponsorships, display advertising, social media and email solutions to appropriate partners looking to reach Next Avenue’s well educated audience.  As a PBS product, Next Avenue is considered a thought leader in the aging sector, and it presents partner messages in a brand safe environment.

 
 
 

Twins Daily is an independent digital media publisher focusing on Major League Baseball and Minnesota Twins-specific content. The Hedlund Group has been working with Twins Daily since 2017. THG sells ads in their podcasts, events, and for their website.
